About the Association.

We are the Association of Maryland Families.  This association working to be the Family Policy Council in Maryland, associated with Focus on the Family.  The AMF is a non-profit 501c3 organization, funding solely by you- the families of Maryland.

We are committed to preserving the God-ordained institutions of marriage and the family, as well as the God-given gift of life.  We do this by providing resources, educating and networking citizens and policy-makers on issues that effect the family.

This association believes that part of the preservation of the family comes by encouraging our policy makers to hold high moral values, integrity, as well as other Christian principles including Biblical and constitutional authority.  We believe these principles will benefit all the families of Maryland.

We are not tied to any political party. Our purpose is to educate voters and politicians to keep their commitment to both liberty and law, preserving the family values that have defined greatness in our Country and our state.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to serve as a resource for families, churches and policy-makers on issues of family values; for the purpose of encouraging and equipping Christians to be responsible, informed and involved.

Our Five-Fold Purpose:

Educate the public and policymakers regarding the pro-family point of view on current issues.

Speak Out in the public arena and in the media concerning pro-family issues.

Train Christians and pro-family leaders for effective social and political action.

Oppose anti-Christian bigotry and defend the rights of people of faith.

Inform pro-family voters about timely issues and legislation.

Our History:

The Association of Maryland Families was founded in 2000 by Doug Stiegler. From his experience as a lobbyist for the Family Protection Lobby, he saw a need for the family unit to be preserved. In addition of the need to provide resources for marriage, parenting, and worldview, there is a need to encourage political education and involvement.

The Association of Maryland Families was created as a venue for the families of Maryland to receive information and resources on Christian values issues and be a support as we work together to secure those values in our families and our laws.
